Singer Gül Tut, known as 'Güllü', died on September 26, 2025, by falling from the window of her house in a 6-storey building on Vali Akı Street, Harmanlar District, Çınarcık district. Güllü, whose autopsy was performed within the scope of the investigation launched by the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incident, was buried in Istanbul. The singer's daughter Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, who spoke differently in her previous three statements, and her friend Sultan Nur Ulu were taken into custody. While Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter was arrested on the charge of 'deliberate murder', house arrest was ordered for Sultan Nur Ulu.
The investigation carried out by the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office was completed after 11 months. In the prepared indictment; Aggravated life imprisonment was requested for the singer's daughter, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, who was listed as the number one defendant, on the charge of "premeditated murder against the superior lineage". In the indictment; It was recorded that Güllü fell from the window of her daughter Tuğyan's room, hit the concrete floor from a height of 18 meters, and died as a result of internal bleeding due to skull and vertebra fractures and numerous internal organ and major vascular injuries. In toxicology examination; It was also stated that 3.53 promil alcohol was detected in Gül Tut's blood, the drugs used were not at toxic levels and there was no medical evidence that she was poisoned to death.
It was determined that on the night of the incident, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter asked her friend Sultan Nur Ulu to sing the song 'Malkata', which her mother loved very much, and that the song was started on her mobile phone while Güllü was coming out of the bathroom. Hearing the music, Gül Tut said, 'What the hell is that?' It was recorded that he came to his daughter's room, accompanied the music with the people in the room, and played a novel style for a while. The prosecutor's office stated that the song was opened specifically to bring Gül Tut to the room where the incident occurred and that this was part of the planned action.
In the indictment; It was stated that a detailed examination was carried out by Istanbul Technical University on the camera audio recordings of the moment of the incident. In the expert report, it was stated that just before the fall, a young female voice said "Let's see you" in a sarcastic and cheerful tone. The prosecutor's office concluded that these words were said by Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter. In the indictment, it was stated that immediately after these words, Gülter grabbed his mother from under her hips with both hands, swept her off her feet and threw her out the window.
It was stated that Sultan Nur Ulu, who was in the room at the time of the incident, said in the early stages of the investigation that Gül Tut was drunk and fell from the window, but later in her statement she explained that the incident happened differently. Sultan Nur Ulu's statement, stating that while Gül Tut was facing the window, Tuğyan grabbed her mother with both hands under her hips, took her off her feet and threw her down was also included in the indictment. In the recorded phone conversation with the witness's lawyer, it was determined that Tuğyan said that he did not want to pay for what he did and that he would go to the prosecutor's office and tell the truth. The prosecutor's office evaluated that this audio recording supported the witness's later statement.
In the indictment; Many messages and witness statements were included, allegedly showing that Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter wanted his mother to die months before the incident. Three witnesses claimed that Tuğyan told them that he would throw his mother out of the window one day and kill her. Another witness said that Gülter said that his mother or one of him would die. Gülter's ex-girlfriend K.E. and the messages he sent to his relatives included: 'I'm tired of this mother', 'Let her die', 'Let this woman die', 'She's not dying, when?' It was stated that he used expressions such as 'I will do something big to him'.
It was also included in the indictment that Tuğyan sent a message to her ex-boyfriend K.E. about 2 months before the incident, saying, "My mother is going to throw herself out soon." The prosecutor's office evaluated this message as one of the indicators of Gülter's 'mental preparation process' for his action.
In the raw version of the camera recordings found in the house, it was determined that 3 different impact and impact sounds were heard at short intervals before Gül Tut fell to the ground. In expert evaluation; It was stated that the period of approximately 1.9 seconds between the second and third impact sound largely coincides with the time between Gül Tut's exit from the window and her hitting the concrete floor. It was reported that Gül Tut was approximately one meter away from Tuğyan and Sultan in the room, but no shouts or rescue reflexes were heard from either person for approximately 7 seconds after the first impact sound. The prosecutor's office noted that this situation indicates that Tuğyan and Sultan saw the fall and that the incident was not a sudden accident as described.
In the samples taken from the floor of the room where the incident took place; No lubricating substance was found. It was stated that there was no evidence of suicidal thoughts in Gül Tut's medical records, and many witnesses reported that the singer was afraid of heights. The expert committee expressed the opinion that, considering Gül Tut's body structure and the height of the window, it was more likely that there was an external force or contact for her to fall backwards than the possibility of an accident. The Institute of Forensic Medicine noted that it cannot be medically distinguished whether a fall from a height occurred by suicide, an accident, or the influence of another person, and that the incident should be clarified by a forensic investigation.
In the indictment; It was stated that after the incident, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter asked her ex-boyfriend K.E. to share her phone screen and delete the messages between them. It was stated that Gülter pressured K.E. to remain silent and not to talk about the night of the incident and the problems between her and her mother during the live broadcast she participated in, and that she told him that her relationship with her mother was good. The prosecutor's office also noted that Tuğyan tried to keep Sultan Nur Ulu, the only eyewitness of the incident, with him at all times, followed her while she was meeting with someone else, and threatened her not to tell the truth.
It was recorded that Tuğyan and Sultan had a phone conversation with a person in a hotel where they stayed in Istanbul after the incident, about how they could go abroad. In the meeting; When Sultan was asked whether he was threatened by Tuğyan, Tuğyan intervened and said, 'Of course I am. It was stated that he said, "If he leaves me alone one day, I will not forgive him." It was shown among the supporting evidence in the indictment that Gülter changed his phone after the incident, reset his device to factory settings, and asked for some messages to be deleted.
In Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter's digital materials, 'When does the drug disappear from the hair?', 'When does the cocaine appear in the hair?' and 'Can methamphetamine be found in hair?' It was determined that he made internet searches such as: It was also stated that Gülter examined a board game called 'Unsolved cases, serial killer case, detective game, finding the criminal' on the internet. However, no drugs or stimulants were detected in the hair samples taken from Tuğyan and Sultan. No criminal elements were found in the searches carried out on the suspects, their homes and belongings.
New security camera footage from the night of the incident has also emerged. In the images; After Güllü fell, Tuğyan was seen talking to the police teams at the entrance of the building and then going to the apartment. Tuğyan reportedly panicked after the incident and asked the police, "Why does my mother say that, is my mother okay?" What he said was reflected in the images.
On the other hand, it was learned that Sultan Nur Ulu recreated the moment of the incident during her statement at the prosecutor's office. The footage in which Ulu, who claimed that Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter approached his mother from behind, grabbed her under the hip and then threw her out of the window, described those moments practically were included in the case file. In his statement to the prosecutor's office, Ulu claimed that he saw Tuğyan grab his mother from behind and then pull her up. Sultan Nur Ulu claimed that Güllü fell from the window after this incident and said that Tuğyan then went downstairs shouting "Run". Ulu continued his statement and explained that he also followed Tuğyan.
Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office evaluated the message records, witness statements, audio recordings, expert reports and his behavior after the incident and noted that Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter killed his mother with premeditation. In the indictment, it was requested that the detained Gülter be sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment for the crime of 'premeditated murder against the superior lineage'. In the indictment, Ulu, who was included as the second defendant and whose house arrest order was later lifted, was asked to be imprisoned for up to 4 years for the crime of 'false testimony'. The trial of the defendants will begin on Thursday, October 1, at the Yalova 1st High Criminal Court.
