3 thousand 774 units of blood donation in one day in Xinjiang

A blood donation campaign with wide participation was held under the leadership of Ankara's Sincan District Governorship, in cooperation with Sincan Municipality, Turkish Red Crescent and District National Education Directorate.

District Governor Levent Kılıç, Mayor Murat Ercan, Turkish Red Crescent Sincan Branch President Taner Gürsoy and the district protocol attended the opening ceremony at Sincan Anatolian High School.

Within the scope of the campaign, 1364 units of blood were donated in Sincan in 2023, 2 thousand 809 units in 2024, and 3 thousand 682 units last year, upon the call of the students.

In the campaign held yesterday, a new Turkish record was broken by collecting 3 thousand 774 units of blood donations in one day.

District Governor Levent Kılıç said in his statement, "We would like to thank all our citizens who supported our campaign organized to strengthen social solidarity and save lives, with the awareness that one unit of blood can bring hope to 3 lives."

Mayor Murat Ercan drew attention to the importance of the campaign and said, "We are happy to be involved in such a kindness movement. We have not been competing with anyone for the last two years, we are only competing with ourselves."
