Murder in hotel room in Şirinevler: Aggravated life sentence requested for the defendant

The incident took place around 19.25 on April 3 at a hotel in Şirinevler District. Allegedly, Salih Binici and Yonca Kölge entered the hotel together at around 13.30 and went to room number 305 after the procedures at the reception. Later, Salih Binici left the hotel alone around 17.55. A relative of Yonca Kölge, who had not heard from her for several hours, reported her to the police.

The teams started an investigation and identified the hotel where Kölge was staying in Bahçelievler. Thereupon, police and medical teams came to the scene and found Yonca Kölge's body in the hotel room. Crime scene investigation teams worked in the room and determined that Kölge had been stabbed. Kölge's body was buried on April 4.

INDICTMENT HAS BEEN PREPARED

The investigation carried out by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has been completed. In the indictment, it was noted that Yonca Kölge (28), the mother of three children, and the defendant Salih Binici (30) were religiously married, and that they went to a hotel in Bahçelievler together on April 3, but it was understood that the defendant left the hotel alone.

HE WAS RELEASED FROM PRISON

In his defense, the defendant Binici said that he was released from the prison where he was convicted on March 26, that he was the victim's religiously married wife and that they had 3 children. Stating that the victim Kölge was released from prison on probation on March 29, Binici said that they met on the day of the incident after Kölge called, they went to visit their children in the dormitory, then they went to the hotel by purchasing alcohol, and that he was disturbed by the constant ringing of the phone and took the victim's phone from his hand and threw it out the window. He took a knife from Kölge's waist and said, "Let me go, otherwise I will stab you." Binici claimed that he took the knife and waved it randomly and that the incident occurred under the influence of alcohol.

Claiming that Kölge took a knife from his waist and said, 'Let me go, otherwise I will stab you,' Binici claimed that he also took the knife and swung it randomly and that the incident occurred under the influence of alcohol. In the indictment, it was noted that 22 stab wounds were detected on Kölge's body. Aggravated life imprisonment was requested for Salih Binici for 'intentional murder of a woman with monstrous feelings or by inflicting torture'. The indictment was accepted by the Bakırköy 17th High Criminal Court.
