The dead bodies of 3 more workers were found in the mine collapse in Soma: The death toll increased to 5

As a result of search and rescue efforts in the mine collapse that occurred in Soma district of Manisa, the dead bodies of 3 miners trapped under the collapse were found. The number of miners who lost their lives in the collapse increased to 5.

In the statement made on the social media account of the Turkish Mine Workers Union, the following statements were used:

"After the search and rescue efforts, which continued with hope and without interruption until the morning hours, in the collapse that occurred in the mine in Soma, unfortunately the lifeless bodies of Ramazan İnce, İsa Olcay and Ömer Karakaya, among the workers trapped under the collapse, were found. Unfortunately, this great pain in our hearts has increased exponentially with the lives we lost before. ​

"WE ANNOUNCEMENT THAT WE WILL FOLLOW THE PROCESS UNTIL THE END"

May God have mercy on all our worker brothers who lost their lives, we wish patience and condolences to their grieving families, relatives and the entire mining labor community.
