Poll before the elections in Krakow: Łukasz Gibała is leading, a second round will be necessary

This Sunday, early elections for the president of Krakow will be held in Krakow - we will cover the election evening on RMF FM, Radio RMF24 and on our YouTube channel. However, there is no indication that we will find out who will rule the capital of Małopolska on Monday. A second round will be needed.

The latest OGB poll for lovekrakow.pl shows that Łukasz Gibała can count on the greatest support before Sunday's vote. 32.88% of people want to vote for him. subjects. In this scenario, Monika Piątkowska, supported by KO and PSL, would get to the second round and can count on support at the level of 27.78%. The podium is closed by Michał Drewnicki from PiS (16.11%).

Among the left-wing candidates, Aleksandra Owcaz of the Razem Party fares better (11.01%), Daria Gosek-Popiołek has support of 7.01%. The candidate of the Confederation of the Crown of Poland, Michał Klimek, is penultimate in the standings (5.07%), and the last place goes to Sławomir Pietrzyk from the Polish Social Democracy (0.14%).

What is important, however, is that there is still a large group of voters - 23.78%. She hasn't decided who she will vote for. OGB notes that in the presented results, the undecided answers were proportionally distributed among the candidates.

What might happen in the second round?

The researchers also checked how the votes would be divided if Łukasz Gibała faced Monika Piątkowska in the second round. There is no good news for the candidate supported by KO and PSL. The poll shows that the senator and Łukasz Gibała would have a 21-point advantage (60.61% for Gibała, 39.39% for Piątkowska).

Piątkowska achieves the best result in the 60-69 group (51.05%), and Gibała among voters up to 29 years of age (71.87%).

The study was conducted on September 23 and 24, 2026 using the CATI method - computer-assisted telephone interviews. A representative group of 750 adult residents of Krakow took part in it.
