Prostitution Negotiation Detected with Drone-Assisted Inspection in Taksim and Istiklal

Under the coordination of the Public Order Branch Directorate and Beyoğlu District Police Department, with the participation of the relevant branch directorates, drone-supported inspection was carried out in Taksim Square, Istiklal Street, Tarlabaşı Boulevard and surrounding side streets and public entertainment venues. Within the scope of the inspection, controls were carried out at a total of 10 points in 25 public entertainment venues, 5 hotels and 2 buildings, as well as streets and avenues to prevent immoral behavior.

PROSTITUTION NEGOTIATION WAS DETECTED BY DRONES

During the inspections, prostitution deals in the streets were detected by drone. Thereupon, action was taken against 4 people for the crime of 'intermediating and providing a place for prostitution'. Action was taken against 27 people who were determined to have behaved against public morality and disturbed the environment. In addition, 2 buildings where prostitution was detected were inspected, while 2 entertainment venues and 2 hotels that were determined to be operating without a license were sealed.

FINE FOR 17 BUSINESSES

During the inspections, 1,737 people were subjected to General Information Screening (GBT) interrogation, while 3 wanted people and 2 illegal immigrants were caught. In addition, administrative action was taken against 12 people for disturbing the environment. An amount of drugs were seized during the body search and action was taken against 3 people for the crime of 'using drugs'.

On the other hand, in the inspections carried out in public entertainment venues; It was reported that administrative fines were imposed on a total of 17 businesses due to violations of the legislation such as 'using tobacco products', 'contrary to the scope of activity', 'lack of a responsible manager certificate', 'employing uninsured workers' and 'broadcasting music outside the business'.
