TEKNOFEST Blue Homeland, of which Anadolu Agency (AA) is the Global Communication Partner and under the main leadership of the Ministry of National Defense and T3 Foundation, is held at Gölcük Shipyard Command.
In his speech at the opening of the event, Selçuk Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation) and Chairman of the Board of TEKNOFEST, congratulated the upcoming 30 August Victory Day and commemorated Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades in arms and all the martyrs.
Stating that being in touch with the sea since his childhood taught him to face the waves and not to give up, Bayraktar stated that his father Özdemir Bayraktar, who devoted his life to the National Technology Move, was also a lover of the "blue homeland" and expressed the strategic importance of the seas at every opportunity.
Pointing out that Turkey's land area is approximately 783 thousand square kilometers and the "blue homeland" maritime jurisdiction areas are 462 thousand square kilometers, Bayraktar said:
"To put it clearly, if our homeland on land is our home, the 'blue homeland' is our garden where we find peace. Just as we do not give up a room in our house, we never give up a single drop of the 'blue homeland', which is our garden. Bayraktar explained that within the scope of the event, maritime culture was kept alive with swimming, sailing and rowing races, as well as shows by SAT and SAS commandos, and young people developed the technologies of the future with Unmanned Underwater Systems, Underwater Rocket and Unmanned Marine Vehicles competitions.

Bayraktar, who gave advice to young people as an engineer brother, continued his speech as follows:

Proceed on straight routes that will benefit humanity, not on the routes of others that will drag you into rangeless eddies and darkness. Selçuk Bayraktar stated that there is a moral and conscientious collapse in today's world, that justice, mercy and international law are disregarded, and emphasized that the current global system does not give hope to humanity.

Selçuk Bayraktar made a statement to the press after the opening ceremony of the event.
Reminding that the TEKNOFEST Blue Homeland event was organized for the second time, Bayraktar said, "Our aim is to share the blue homeland awareness with all our generations, to bring together our young people who will design the future of high technology with our society through competitions, and to bring together the champions of technology with both our ships and the aircraft on them, which are the apple of our navy's eye and the works of our national technology. Pointing out that TEKNOFEST broke the record in technology competitions, Bayraktar stated that 1.6 million students applied to the competitions.

Emphasizing that there is a great interest in TEKNOFEST Blue Homeland, Bayraktar stated that the event will last 4 days.
Bayraktar stated that even more intense participation is expected over the weekend and said, "You can also visit the submarines here and see the works of our national technology. We have competition tents. You can see the works of the champions of technology, those competing here and the finalists." he said.

When asked about the development of artificial intelligence technologies, Bayraktar said that they used artificial intelligence extensively both to develop their own model T3 AI and to benefit from this technology.
Pointing out that this technology will affect every aspect of life, Bayraktar said, "Especially in this field, we have determined our own strategy in order not to be left out of the game. Just like our UAVs, we are unfortunately one of the countries that missed the first wave in aviation as it was emerging in the world, but today we are striving for leadership in unmanned aerial vehicles.
