TEKNOFEST Fighting UAV Competition Started in Siirt

The Savaşan UAV Competition, organized within the scope of TEKNOFEST, started at Siirt Airport. The organization, led by Baykar and hosted by Siirt Governorship, will continue until September 3.

FIGHT IN THREE CATEGORIES

Within the scope of the organization, competitions will be held in the categories of "Fighting UAV Stars Competition", "Fighting UAV Competition" and "Fighting UAV Fighter Drone Competition".

On the first day of the event, which started with the Fighting UAV Stars Competition, which was held for the second time this year, technical checks of the UAVs developed by young people, from software to hardware, were carried out. In this category, the top 5 teams of the 2025 Combat UAV Competition will compete.

YOUTH WILL COMPETE FOR NATIONAL TECHNOLOGY

Turkish Technology Team Foundation Siirt Representative Eda Çavuş stated that teams from different universities will demonstrate the performances of the unmanned aerial vehicles they developed and said that the competitions will start after the technical preparations.

Gökbörü UAV Team Captain Fatih Kahraman, who participated in the competition from Istanbul Technical University, stated that they aim to contribute to the national technology move and said, "We are all working on the same technology path, to make our nation's flag wave in the skies."

İTÜNOM UAV Team Captain Burak Emir Cengiz also stated that they were excited to take part in the Fighting UAV Stars Competition, where only 5 teams were invited.

IT WILL LAST UNTIL SEPTEMBER 3

While an emergency response unit will be established in the event area to provide health services quickly, 112 ambulance and a 7-person UMKE team will also be on duty. Turkish Red Crescent volunteers will provide various refreshments in the area, and institutions will introduce their products, tools and devices at the stands they set up.

Siirt Municipality will also provide free transportation service between 15 July Democracy Square and the competition area until September 3.
