General Secretary and President To Lam visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum

On the morning of September 2, General Secretary and President To Lam visited the Mausoleum and offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at House 67, President Ho Chi Minh's Monument Area at the Presidential Palace.

Joining the delegation were Head of the Central Organizing Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung; leaders of the Party Central Office, the General Secretary's Office, and the President's Office.

Visitation on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945), National Day (September 2) and the 57th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's death.

This morning, thousands of people were present at Ba Dinh Square early to visit Uncle Ho's Mausoleum and visit the President Ho Chi Minh Monument at the Presidential Palace.

Previously, on the 81st anniversary of National Day, on the morning of August 28, General Secretary and President To Lam; Prime Minister Le Minh Hung; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu and Party and State leaders visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Memorial on Bac Son Street.

81 years ago, on September 2, 1945, at Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi, on behalf of the Provisional Government, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, declaring before his fellow citizens and the whole world the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

57 years ago, at 9:47 a.m. on September 2, 1969, President Ho Chi Minh passed away in Hanoi, at the age of 79. His memorial service was solemnly held on September 9 at Ba Dinh Square, in the condolences of compatriots across the country and international friends.
