After the existing inventory quota is sold out, it will officially bid farewell to the Taiwan car market. This not only means that the evergreen mobility scooter that has accompanied countless families and novices will be off the market, but also means that Toyota's "600,000 yuan class" passenger cars that have been maintained in the country for many years are about to enter history.

Looking back at the development of the car series, the hatchback car Yaris, which shares a technical basis with the Vios, has been withdrawn from the market. The current Vios has been sold in Taiwan for many years without a major facelift. Faced with the wave of upgrades in space performance, power and safety equipment of new-generation small cars in recent years, product generations have gradually shown signs of fatigue. Although overseas markets such as Southeast Asia have already announced new-generation models that use the DNGA platform and 1.2-liter gasoline-electric power, Taiwan has never had a generation change plan, and the current model has finally come to an end.

The current suggested selling price of Vios in Taiwan starts at NT$609,000. With Vios's exit, the responsibility of being the brand's most affordable passenger car will be handed over to the Yaris Cross crossover SUV. However, the current price of the Yaris Cross series starts from 695,000 yuan, and the starting price difference between the two is 86,000 yuan. In the future, the minimum budget for consumers to purchase Toyota passenger cars will directly increase to nearly 700,000 yuan.
