Tragedy in Skorogoszcz: 47-year-old suspected of murdering his wife on their wedding night

It all started with a report to the police in Brzeg (Opolskie Voivodeship) about a domestic dispute in Skorogoszcz on Sunday, September 20, after... 4:00. The couple's daughter notified the services.

The officers - as indicated in the statement from the Brzeg police station - after arriving at the scene, discovered the body of a 41-year-old woman. By decision of the prosecutor, the body was secured for autopsy.

Tragedy on the wedding night

The 47-year-old husband of the deceased woman was arrested in the case. According to information provided to the media by the Police Headquarters, the husband allegedly killed his wife with an axe, and the incident took place on their wedding night.

Investigators secured the scene of the incident, numerous traces and evidence, as well as tools that could have been used to commit the crime of murder, informed the Police Headquarters in Brzeg.
