Treviso: eighteen year old arrested for attempted murder after a fight in the centre

An eighteen-year-old of Gambian origin was arrested by the Treviso Police for having stabbed a young man in the side in a fight that took place in the city centre, in Piazza dei Signori. The crime of attempted murder is suspected against him.

In addition to the young man, who has a history of crimes against the person and against property, three young Italians, one of whom is a minor, who allegedly took part in the episode, were identified and reported.

The fight had broken out for trivial reasons. The arrested person, in particular, would have first provoked and then attacked a 21-year-old young man, who was walking through the streets of the city center with his girlfriend. The other members of the group also took part in the attack. The situation degenerated when the 18-year-old pulled out a knife and hit the victim in the right side, who was hospitalized with a guarded prognosis but not in danger of life, and then tried to escape.

The intervention of the police cars made it possible to intercept him, identified also thanks to the testimonies provided by the numerous people present in the square, and to arrest him at the Treviso prison. The Flying Squad of the Police Headquarters also made it possible to identify the other three members of the group.
