Roraima Court of Auditors determines investigation of R$10.45 million contract for automation of laboratory tests

The investigation was determined by reporting advisor Bismarck Dias de Azevedo and must be carried out by two auditors from External Control, the unit responsible for monitoring the use of public money.

The contract targeted by the investigation is an amendment worth R$10,454,028.42, signed in 2024, which provided for the provision of automation services for laboratory tests, in addition to the supply of equipment and technological infrastructure, for medium and high complexity health units.

The investigation should last just over two months. "Carry out an inspection in the unit under the jurisdiction of the State Department of Health, from 08/27/2026 to 11/11/2026, with the aim of investigating the occurrence of alleged irregularities in the execution of Contract 113/2024", cites an excerpt from the determination.

The Court of Auditors decided to investigate the contract after receiving information that indicated the need to investigate the alleged irregularities. External control auditors must prepare a report on the execution of the contract by November this year.

The Department of Health informs that it monitors with transparency and normality the inspection carried out by the Court of Auditors of Roraima regarding the contract for the provision of laboratory examination services.

Sesau is available to the control body to provide documents, records and other information necessary to monitor the execution of services and compliance with contractual obligations.

The Secretariat clarifies that the opening of an inspection procedure is part of the regular activities of the control bodies and, in itself, does not represent a conclusion about any irregularity.
