TRT Co-Produced Films Will Premiere in Antalya

According to the statement made by TRT, films, including "Minotaur", which won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival, will have their world and Turkish premieres within the scope of the festival.

"About a Mother", directed by Büşra Bülbül and produced by Betül Demir, and "Elisa", directed by Sinan Sertel and produced by Hakan Sancaktutan, will take part in the National Feature Film Competition.

"Minotaur", directed by Andrey Zvyagintsev and co-produced by Yusuf Aslanyürek, will compete for awards in the International Feature Film Competition, while "Karayazı", directed by Ahmet Duvar, and "Süpermen Fell into the Steppe", directed by Serdar Altun, will compete for awards in the National Short Film Competition.

"Minotaur", a co-production between France, Germany, Türkiye and Latvia, will meet the audience at its Turkish premiere in Antalya. The film, which had its world premiere at the 79th Cannes Film Festival, won the festival's second biggest award, the Grand Prix.

Andrey Zvyagintsev, the director of the film, which won the TRT International Co-Production Award at 12 Punto 2025, was also among the international jury members of 12 Punto in the same year.

Combining crime and thriller elements, the production focuses on the unraveling of the life of the powerful and influential Russian businessman Gleb under the influence of personal, political, professional and global crises.

TRT co-production "Karayazı" and "Süpermen Fell into the Steppe" will compete for awards in the National Short Film Competition. Both films will have their world premiere in Antalya.

"Karayazı", directed by Ahmet Duvar and produced by Abdülhamit Güler, takes place in a village of Erzurum. When the ground freezes due to harsh winter conditions and makes digging graves impossible, the village headman prepares 5 graves before winter arrives. However, as Abdullah and Cemile died one after the other and the graves became insufficient, the village people faced an unexpected and difficult situation.

12 Punto In addition to "Karayazı", which won the TRT Short Film Production Award in 2024, "Süpermen Fell to the Steppe", directed by Serdar Altun and produced by Turgut Kanal, will also take part in the competition. The film, which won the TRT Short Film Production Award in 12 Punto 2025, tells the story of Kazım, who was abandoned by his family due to economic difficulties.

Kazım, who has to work in a Superman costume in a circus found by his friend, struggles with poverty and social pressure while trying to protect his honor, is brought to the big screen with a tragicomic narrative.
