Trump says record oil transport through Strait of Hormuz

US President Donald Trump said, "We carried a record amount of oil through the Strait of Hormuz last night. This amount is more than we extracted before the war."

Targeting oil tankers and disrupting ship traffic in the region further limits mobility in the strait, which is critical for global oil supply. US President Donald Trump told reporters in Chicago, "We carried a record amount of oil through the Strait of Hormuz last night. This amount is more than we extracted before the war."

The US President stated that oil prices will fall "as soon as Iran surrenders, as soon as the war is over."
