Ministry of Foreign Affairs and AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik Condemns the Al-Aqsa Mosque Raid

A written statement was published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the raid on the Masjid al-Aqsa by Israeli extremist groups.

In the statement, it was stated that it is clear that the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu aims to further fuel the tension in the region and undermine peace and stability efforts with violations and provocations targeting Muslim holy places, and added: "We condemn in the strongest terms the raid carried out by Israeli extremist groups on the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces." The statement was included.

The statement also reiterated the call for the international community to take deterrent measures against Israel's practices that violate the historical and legal status of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

ÖMER ÇELİK: WE CONDEMN THE RAID ON MOSQUE AL-AQSA

AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik also reacted to Israel with his post on social media.

Çelik stated the following in his post:

"We condemn the raid carried out by Israeli extremist groups on the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces.

These provocations targeting the sanctity and historical status of Haram Al-Sharif are unacceptable. These ugly actions, carried out under the supervision of Israeli authorities, are extremely dangerous steps that escalate regional tension.

Masjid al-Aqsa is the red line of Muslims. Israel must immediately put an end to these systematic attacks. "We call on the international community to take a clear stance to protect international law and the status of sacred places."
