Assault with screwdriver and investment in Reggio Emilia: 26-year-old arrested

Evening of terror at a petrol station on the outskirts of Reggio Emilia: around 7pm a boy attacked a woman who was refueling with a screwdriver. Then he took the car and hit two people - a girl and a man - who had stopped to help the woman, before fleeing.

He was identified and arrested about an hour later: he is a 26-year-old born in Reggio Emilia. The three injured were taken to hospital under code 3 and are serious. The boy was caught in synergy between the state police, the carabinieri and the local police. His psychological condition is being examined. The reasons need to be reconstructed.

The attack occurred at a petrol station in via Martiri di Cervarolo in Due Maestà. According to an initial reconstruction, the 26-year-old was at the petrol station when, for no apparent reason, he came down and hit the woman. According to initial information, she is a 57-year-old from Scandiano. Two people, a 26-year-old girl and a 49-year-old man, rushed to help the 57-year-old. But the 26-year-old then got back into the car and hit them on purpose. He then fled by car. He was caught after about an hour.
