Aylık bağlama oranının düşürülmesi de emekli aylıkları üzerinde etkili olmuştur. Çalışma yaşamı boyunca ödenen primlerin emekli aylığına yansıma oranının azalması, özellikle düşük ücretle çalışanlar açısından emeklilik dönemindeki gelirin yetersiz kalmasına neden olmuştur. Bugün birçok emekli geçinmekte zorlanıyor. Kira, gıda ve sağlık giderlerindeki artış, zaten sınırlı olan emekli gelirlerini daha da yetersiz hale getiriyor.

Türkiye’nin toplumsal refahı ve sosyal barışı açısından sorun sosyal yardımların varlığı değil, insanların neden sürekli yardıma ihtiyaç duyduğudur.
