Macron: Bombing Iran will not lead to a change of power

French President Emmanuel Macron said that bombing Iran will not lead to a change of power in the country.

“I don’t consider it feasible to change power by bombing the country. And for me this is not the best option, because it doesn’t work. And over the past decades, we have made this mistake several times,” Macron said in an interview with the American television channel ABC.

At the same time, he called it “very important for everyone” to ensure that Iran does not obtain nuclear weapons.

Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali, in an interview with RIA Novosti, previously noted that the Islamic Republic, based on its security doctrine and the fatwa of the late spiritual leader Ali Khamenei, has repeatedly stated that it has no desire to possess nuclear weapons, and the Iranian nuclear program is peaceful.
