Immigrant smuggling and irregular migration control throughout Türkiye

The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that 19 migrant smuggling organizers and 230 irregular immigrants were caught during immigrant smuggling and irregular migration inspections in 81 provinces.

According to the statement made on the ministry's virtual media account; 15 thousand 905 personnel and 5 thousand 11 teams took part in the inspections organized under the coordination of the Directorate of Immigration Management, General Directorate of Security, Gendarmerie General Command and Coast Guard Command.

At 3 thousand 229 points; A total of 7 thousand 334 places were checked, including 2 thousand 214 abandoned buildings, 3 thousand 893 public places and 1227 other places. During the inspections where the identity of 279 thousand 575 people were checked, 19 migrant smuggling organizers and 230 irregular immigrants were caught.

Procedures to repatriate the identified irregular immigrants have been initiated.
