The 2026-27 season of the U19 Basketball League sponsored by the Fukang Cultural and Educational Foundation officially started on the 13th. The scale of participation in this event has reached a new high, with a total of 176 teams signing up to compete. In the face of venue and time constraints, Chen Jianhao, chairman of the Fukang Cultural and Educational Foundation, the organizer of the event, said that for the first time this year, an algorithm model was introduced to calculate and arrange the schedule. This will ensure that each team can play against strong teams of comparable strength without affecting the players' studies, maximizing the actual combat experience of grassroots players. The event is also expected to hold the "Storm Cup" U15 women's one-day tournament for the first time in January next year, continuing to open up the youth basketball stage.

In addition to the active participation of grassroots teams, the top "Diamond Group" added last year continues to invite traditional high school basketball league (HBL) Group A powers such as Songshan High School, Guangfu High School, and Nanshan High School this year. Dongtai High School, which has entered the HBL quarterfinals for six consecutive years, has also been added. The overall intensity of competition has not diminished at all.

In today's schedule, the Guangfu High School boys' basketball team faced two tests in a single day. The team defeated Jinhe High School 39:27, and then defeated CITIC International High School 46:41, successfully ending the winning streak.

In the U15 Group 1 focus battle, the two major Junior High School Basketball League (JHBL) powers Xinyi Junior High School and Jinhua Junior High School went head-to-head. Xinyi, who had many soldiers, relied on all 10 members of the team to score in rotation, and won 60:40 in the end. Zhang Chenwei scored a game-high 12 points, Zhang Zhaoming scored 7 points and 8 rebounds; Jinhua, Weng Shuwei and Lin Ziqian scored the highest score each with 6 points.

Facing the first game of the new season, Luo Kaihao, executive coach of Jinhua Junior High School, pointed out in an interview after the game that the team is currently in a period of lineup replacement. Most of the players in the team are juniors who have just entered eighth grade. The biggest purpose of participating is to gain practical experience on a high-intensity stage.
