UNICEF: Conflicts in Yemen have left more than 137 thousand children deprived of education

In the written statement made by the United Nations (UN) Children's Fund (UNICEF), it was stated that the latest tension deprived more than 137 thousand children of education.

The statement emphasized that children should not lose their future due to conflicts and stated that UNICEF was trying to establish temporary classrooms for children.

It was stated in the statement that families on the west coast of the country continue to migrate due to the rising tension in Yemen, and that, in cooperation with the UN Population Fund and the World Food Program, emergency aid was provided to more than 14 thousand newly displaced people, including basic needs.

Conflicts have flared up again in Yemen since July, and the map of Yemen's western coast has changed in favor of the Houthis, as the Houthis seized areas previously controlled by government forces.

The Houthis captured Hodeidah, Meha of Taiz, and then the cities on the Red Sea coast and the islands around Babulmandeb.
