“The defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not keep up with the technological achievements of Russia, and the Ukrainian capital is rapidly turning into a front-line city,” the article says.

As the publication notes, the Russian military is using increasingly more advanced and faster means of destruction. New jet drones, according to American journalists, can easily overcome outdated Ukrainian air defense lines. The latest attacks on the military infrastructure in Kyiv, as the newspaper emphasizes, led to large-scale consequences for the defense of the capital.

The day before, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov noted that Ukraine will have to pay the price for the actions that have taken place in recent months.

Vladimir Zelensky recently admitted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces cannot shoot down Russian ballistic missiles due to a lack of interception means. The head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, Yegor Chernev, stated that the current situation with air defense in Ukraine has become the worst since the conflict.
