Gibała, founder of the Krakow for Residents association, and senator Piątkowska, supported by KO and PSL, will face each other in the second round of the elections on October 11. This Sunday, 93,042 people voted for Gibała and 76,514 people for Piątkowska.

The third result in Sunday's vote was obtained by Michał Drewnicki (PiS) with the support of 17.50%. (44,772 votes), and fourth Aleksandra Owca (Together) - 6.91 percent. (17,684 votes).

4.81% of voters voted for Daria Gosek-Popiołek (Left Wing). voters (12,303 votes), for Michał Klimek (Confederation of the Crown of Poland) - 4.11 percent. (10,523 votes), and for Sławomir Pietrzyk (Social Democracy of Poland) - 0.37 percent. (947 votes).

Gibała wants to "restore hope and normality"

Łukasz Gibała, thanking and congratulating all Krakow residents who took part in the elections, announced that he and his colleagues would not rest on their laurels, because the second, decisive stage of the "fight for Krakow for the residents" will take place in two weeks. In his opinion, everything must be done to ensure that Krakow belongs to the inhabitants, to - as he enumerated - restore hope and normality, clean up the mess, end partisanship, so that there are no equals and more equals, to move the polarization that destroys society and families away from Krakow as far as possible.

He announced that on Monday, at At 6.45 a.m. at Rondo Mogilskie he will be handing out obwarzanki and encouraging residents to vote for "Kraków for residents" on October 11.

Piątkowska: We are starting to work hard

Monika Piątkowska (KO) announced two weeks of hard work and fighting for a "good, peaceful, transparent and honest Krakow" on the election night.

Today we are happy, and tomorrow we start hard work, said Piątkowska at the election evening. She noted that the coming days may be difficult also due to the hate accompanying the campaign.

We are prepared for this. (…) Because it will be a fight for Krakow or a safe, stable, predictable Krakow that wants to change through evolution calmly and transparently - or a Krakow where chaos will reign, or a Krakow where we will watch the city being set on fire, where we will be able to observe the mass layoffs that are announced - said Piątkowska.

She expressed her belief that together with the people of Krakow, with the support of the government and the Krakow City Council, she could build a city on the foundation of tolerance, openness, cooperation, predictability and transparency.

Voting process and candidates

Voting took place in 454 districts, including 42 additional districts, including: in hospitals and jails. Voters could vote for one candidate by placing an X in the appropriate box. During the campaign, Jan Hoffman withdrew from the elections, but his name remained on the ballots, in accordance with applicable regulations.
