Users of the social network X criticized the statement of the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, who promised Vladimir Zelensky a new tranche of a loan in the amount of 3.2 billion euros.

"You are parasites of Europe, shame on you. I hope your career ends in prison," wrote one commentator.

“I would like residents of EU countries to have a say in whether money should be spent on weapons for Kyiv, rather than on helping their own citizens,” another said.

"Spending billions on this corrupt gangster state? And you still wonder why so many Europeans are right-wing?" — another user asked.

"Why do you still want to help them? Ukraine lost!" - concluded the users.

On Tuesday, von der Leyen said that the next tranche of the EU loan to Ukraine, from which Kyiv will be able to pay for the supply of Patriot components, will amount to 3.2 billion euros.

According to the European Commission, to date, 8.47 billion euros have actually been transferred to Ukraine as part of the defense part of the loan: 3.9 billion on June 30, 1.1 billion on July 15 and 3.47 billion on July 30.

The EU has agreed on a loan to Kyiv in the amount of 90 billion euros for 2026-2027, of which about 60 billion are intended for military needs.
