Air Strikes and Violent Clashes Between Houthis and Government Forces Continue in Yemen

According to information received from Yemen's official agency SABA and military sources, the Yemeni air force targeted Houthi positions, ammunition depots and military reinforcement convoys in the east and south of Taiz.

An unnamed military source stated that the ammunition and missile warehouses in the Mavye and Zikre regions in the east of Taiz and the Houthi reinforcements on Sittin Street in the north of the city were hit by air strikes.

It was noted that there were deaths and injuries from the Houthis and many military vehicles were destroyed in the attacks.

It was reported that in the air attack on the Houthis' command center in the Suwayda region, on the border of Al-Shureyja and Heyfan districts, many Houthi members, including field officers, were "neutralized", ambulances were dispatched to the region and the Houthis cordoned off the scene.

HOUTI ATTACKS WERE REPUTTED NEAR BABULMENDEB

In the statement made by the Amalika Forces within the government, it was announced that the advance attempts of the Houthis from the Red Sea coast towards the Kehbub Mountain and Mudaraba regions near the Babulmandeb Strait were blocked.

In the statement, it was stated that despite the intense military buildup and repeated attacks of the Houthis in the last two weeks, the government forces foiled all their moves and the Houthis were forced to retreat after suffering heavy losses.

Yemeni Prime Minister Shayi al-Zindani, in his statement during his visit to wounded soldiers receiving treatment at Abud Military Hospital in the temporary capital Aden, said that the government is waging an "existential struggle" against the Houthis.

Zindani stated that he ordered to increase the level of vigilance in all military and civilian health facilities and hospitals against the military escalation of the Houthi militias, and stated that the general mobilization call announced by the President of the Presidential Council Rashad al-Alemi was a requirement of the responsibility to protect state institutions and the republic.

27 AIR ATTACKS FROM SAUDI ARABIA

Yahya Seri, the military spokesman of the Houthis, stated in his statement on his social media account that Saudi Arabian warplanes carried out 27 air strikes on bridges and roads used by civilians in the provinces of Taiz, Marib, Saada, Umran, Ibb and Hajjah in the last 24 hours.

The Saudi Arabian authorities have not yet made a statement regarding these allegations.
