NEW Party deputies came to Samsun within the scope of their organizing efforts and taking the pulse of the people in 81 provinces of Turkey. Ordu Deputy Seyit Torun, Aydın Deputy Bülent Tezcan, Giresun Deputy Elvan Işık Gezmiş and Samsun Deputy Murat Çan, while carrying out work in the central and eastern districts of Samsun, also attended the opening of the Yeni Party İlkadım District Headquarters building. Deputies criticized the government's policies with harsh words at the opening and brought up Samsun's problems, especially health, agriculture, industry and employment.
NEW Party deputies carried out organizational activities in Ayvacık, Salıpazarı, Çarşamba, Terme, Tekkeköy, Canik, İlkadım, Atakum, Asarcık, Kavak, Havza, Vezirköprü, 19 Mayıs, Bafra, Alaçam and Yakakent districts and listened to the problems of the citizens.
At the opening of the YENİ Party İlkadım District Headquarters building, İlkadım District Chairman Umut Alkaç and Yeni Party Samsun Provincial Chairman Mehmet Özdağ made speeches. Then, NEW Party Ordu Deputy Seyit Torun stated that the New Party was established by the will of the people and that they would carry out work in 81 provinces of Turkey. Seyit Torun said:
SEYİT TORUN: WE HAVE NOW BROUGHT A NEW UNDERSTANDING IN TURKEY
"We are now on our way. We have now brought a new understanding in Turkey. We know that this country has problems to be solved. We know that we have come to the end of words in this country. We know that in the first election to be held in this country, this dark government will leave and the New Party will be the government. It will be you.
They ask us, how were you founded? Our establishment was by the will of the people. This party is the people's party. Those who founded this party; You are the people, the people who bought the building, the members who bought the buildings and the people who gave this support. I'm glad to have you. "May we be on our way."
MURAT ÇAN: SAMSUN DOESN'T JUST HAVE HEALTH PROBLEMS
NEW Party Samsun Deputy and Party Assembly Member Murat Çan drew attention to Samsun's health, agriculture, industry and employment problems in his speech. Chan said:
"Yesterday, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was in Samsun. He inaugurated the hospital in Samsun, which was designed in 2017, the foundations of which were laid in 2020, and was put into service in November last year. With a huge crowd... All Samsun residents, as well as all of us here, know how that crowd got there. We hear their reproaches. However, what I am trying to say there is that each of you lives to reach the new city hospital in Samsun, the health capital of the region and the Black Sea. I have tried to explain the problems many times to you and to the public to all of Turkey.
Samsun does not only have health problems. Because you moved the hospital there and removed the Training and Research Hospital from the city. Many of our citizens are calculating how to get there, along with Atakum, Tekkeköy and Canik, where approximately 800 thousand people live in the center. Because there is no way. At the same time, there are institutional problems experienced by our doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals working there. "There are structural problems arising from the construction of the hospital."
Murat Çan stated that Samsun is facing serious problems in terms of agricultural production and brought up the problems experienced by hazelnut and paddy producers.
BÜLENT TEZCAN: WE CAME TO TAKE A NEW STEP IN İLKADIM
NEW Party Founding Board Member and Aydın Deputy Bülent Tezcan started his speech by stating that they see the whole of Turkey as their homeland. Tezcan said that their aim is to create a fair and peaceful Türkiye where wealth is shared fairly.
Drawing attention to the historical importance of İlkadım district, Tezcan recalled Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's landing in Samsun on May 19, 1919, and stated that the New Party would take a new political step from İlkadım. Bülent Tezcan said:
"We will take a new step in İlkadım. We will take a new step in our İlkadım district, in Samsun. We will take a new step in 81 provinces. We will take a new step in Turkey.
Dear friends, we will remove obsolete politics and put it aside. We will remove the old generation understanding of politics and put it aside.
Our esteemed MP just said this. Mr. President came, they opened a service, a hospital, which was projected ten years ago, twelve years ago, a hospital scale that had become a city torment for the nation under the name of a city hospital, as a service and opened the hospital that had been put into service before. Why? Because there is nothing left in their vocabulary. The basket is empty, the bundle is emptied, there is nothing.
A mentality that has been in power for years by making people fight each other, making people fight each other, making people hostile to each other, polarizing them, and turning them into enemies will no longer have a path to follow after today. Hopefully, the ballot box will come before the nation. "A new government, the New Party government, will emerge from the ballot box."
Tezcan stated that he also worked in Konya and stated that the problems experienced by producers in different regions are similar. Tezcan said:
My dear fellow countrymen, everywhere we go people suffer, people are in this trouble. Look, we went to the fields in Konya. "We can't afford the wage earner working in the cucumber field," he says. We left there and went to the plum state. He says he brought a crate of plums and put them there. This daily wage earner collects 400 kilos of plums, he says. The money a daily wage earner receives does not cover his daily wage, he says. Plum producers are at a loss. Cucumber producers are at a loss.”
Arguing that farmers engaged in agricultural production in different regions of Turkey are facing economic problems, Tezcan listed the problems of hazelnut producers in the Black Sea, cotton in Aydın, tea in Rize and paddy in Samsun.
