NEW Party Grand National Assembly of Turkey Meets for the New Legislative Year

91 deputies of the NEW Party will come together on Wednesday, September 30, to prepare for the Fifth Legislative Year of the 28th Term of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

Chairman Özgür Özel will chair the meeting to be held at 10:00 at the NEW Party Headquarters.

WHAT WILL BE DISCUSSED AT THE MEETING?

At the opening of the meeting, NEW Party leader Özel will address the MPs. After Özel's speech, the meeting will continue closed to the press.

During the continuation of the meeting, Group Deputy Chairmen Ali Mahir Basarir, Gökhan Günaydın and Murat Emir will present their 2026 field work reports and make evaluations about the new legislative period.

Then, Foreign Policy Coordinator İlhan Uzgel's foreign policy presentation and National Defense Coordinator Yankı Bağcıoğlu's security presentation will be made. Finally, İzmir Deputy Ümit Özlale will make his economic presentation.

After lunch, MPs' evaluations, opinions and suggestions regarding the new legislative year will be received. Finally, Özel and the MPs will have dinner together at the party cafeteria.

NEW PARTY WILL NOT ATTEND THE OPENING RECEPTION OF THE GNAT

On Thursday, October 1, at 14.00, the Grand National Assembly of Turkey General Assembly will be opened with a Special Session chaired by the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş. Private and NEW Party MPs will attend the session, where AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will also attend.

NEW Party decided not to attend the opening reception of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, which will be held at 18.30 on the evening of October 1.

Özel will chair the MYK meeting at his party's headquarters after the General Assembly.
