AK Party's reaction to Özgür Özel: Do not confuse our understanding of politics with yours

AK Party Deputy Chairman / Promotion and Media Chairman Faruk Acar made the following statements in his reaction to Özgür Özel:

Özgür Özel was very excited again.

However, our President, yesterday and today, has always been on the same line, in the same direction: Whoever violates the rights of the nation, whoever violates the law, whatever is necessary will be done, regardless of his office, title or party.

We do not defend those who do wrong.

We uphold the presumption of innocence, leave the decision to the judiciary, and do not shy away from taking political responsibility when necessary.

This is our understanding of politics.

Do not confuse this understanding with yours, Ozgur Effendi.

You cannot go from square to square, openly embrace charlatans, demonstrate for them, even when the most severely condemned immoral acts are committed against your own political district, and then stand up today and lecture us on law, morality and political responsibility.

And in your own way, you think that you are pointing your finger and asking for an account.

There is no need for such excitement.

The law works. The state is doing its job. What is necessary is being done.

We hold those who make mistakes accountable.

If the person who makes a mistake is on your side, you stand behind him.

It just seems funny that you try to lecture us yourself when the difference between us is so obvious and we are doing our part.
