'Funding crisis' response from AKP to Özgür Özel

AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik responded to NEW Party Chairman Özgür Özel's statements against AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan regarding the "fund crisis" discussions.

Reacting to Özel's words towards Erdoğan, Çelik said the following:

"Mr. Özgür Özel's ignorance about the 'alphabet of political responsibility' is very clear. Mr. Özel and his friends are only displaying their own political exhaustion with their statements that do not contain any principles or responsibilities. They seem to have turned political unprincipledness into the party program. Their words towards our President and Chairman consist entirely of political ignorance and political slander. No one should doubt that we will fight against them in the clearest way possible.

The principle of our President and our party has been clear from the beginning: Whoever abuses his authority, violates the law and violates the rights of the nation; Regardless of his position, position and identity, he is held accountable. However, the political approach of Mr. Özgür Özel's administration consists of blindly shielding scandals in the public squares and defending irregularities despite documents and confessions. This mentality, which takes unprincipledness as a guide, has no moral lessons to teach our nation.

We act with an understanding of political responsibility and state seriousness that ensures the full functioning of all legal and financial processes. On your side, there is a political irresponsibility and distortion that attacks state institutions and administrators in order to cover up the contamination within themselves. You cannot get out of this distortion you have fallen into by attacking our President and the AK Party. "Our nation knows very well the difference between those who stand by the law and rights and those who defend wrongs under political captivity."

NEW Party Chairman Özgür Özel reacted to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan targeting the opposition in his statement about the fund scandal after the cabinet meeting.

Quoting the Directorate of Communications' post regarding Erdoğan's statement, Özel made the following statements:

"Hey Erdoğan, don't mince words... YOU ARE CAUGHT!

You searched for my friends whom I defended, but not a single lira was found on them. But your minister and deputy chairman defrauded the nation of 2 billion lira.
