Unter AfD-Wählern glaubten das nur 46 Prozent. Zwei Drittel aller Befragten (67 Prozent) gaben an, das Gericht entscheide unparteiisch, also ohne Partei für die Regierung oder eine politische Gruppe zu ergreifen. Von AfD-Wählern glaubten das 36 Prozent.

An der Umfrage nahmen vom 11. bis 14. September 2.161 Wahlberechtigte teil. Die Ergebnisse wurden gewichtet und sind repräsentativ für die Wahlberechtigten in Deutschland ab 18 Jahren. Das Bundesverfassungsgericht nahm im Jahr 1951 seine Arbeit auf.
