Zelensky confirms that a Russian drone hit the SBU headquarters in kyiv

A Russian drone targeting the office of the head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) struck the headquarters of the Ukrainian espionage agency this afternoon, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on X.

"I spoke with the head of the SBU, Oleksandr Poklad. Unfortunately, a Russian drone hit the central SBU building on Volodymyrska Street in Kyiv, in front of Saint Sophia Cathedral," Zelenskyy explained.

The Ukrainian head of state added that the drone was aimed "directly" at Poklad's office. "I ordered Poklad to deliver a tangible and, wherever possible, symmetrical response to this attack against the Russians when everything is prepared," the Ukrainian president also stated.

Zelenskyy did not provide a number of injured or dead, as is customary in attacks against security bodies, but said that "all those affected" are being attended to.
