Iran is accused of a dangerous escalation against the Kurdish region: attacking with drones and believing the investigations

Barzani described the incident as a "dangerous escalation and a direct threat to the security and stability of the region." The region's Counter-Terrorism Service revealed that the attack took place at dawn on Monday using two "Hadid-110" explosive drones, launched from the Iranian side of the border, without resulting in any human or material losses.

In a statement published by the regional government on its Facebook page, Barzani stressed that investigations conducted by the Counter-Terrorism Directorate proved “Iran’s involvement” in targeting Al-Maqrin, stressing that these “reckless and unacceptable attacks will not deter the government from continuing to perform its duties and protect its citizens.”

For its part, the Counter-Terrorism Service condemned the attack “in the strongest terms,” holding its perpetrators “fully responsible for its repercussions,” stressing that such attacks are “unacceptable in any form.”
