湖北省科技厅二级巡视员王东梅当日向媒体介绍,在种源自主可控方面,湖北省建成了农作物种质资源库,采用自动化、智能化管理系统,配备智能存取系统、低温低湿机器人、全自动机械臂,成为华中地区保存总量最多、智能化水平最高的种质资源库。

湖北水稻、玉米、柑橘等功能基因组学及分子设计育种研究达到国际领先水平。近5年时间,水稻、小麦、油菜、大豆和棉花等自育品种推广面积明显提升。无肌间刺武昌鱼、高产高蛋白玉米、“稻米造血”等创新成果竞相涌现。

湖北省农业农村厅厅长张桂华介绍,高蛋白玉米是针对中国饲料蛋白对外依存度高的痛点开展的重大种业攻关成果。普通玉米籽粒蛋白含量仅8%左右,湖北培育的高蛋白玉米蛋白含量可达约13%,既是“能量源”、又是“蛋白罐”,还能缓解大豆进口压力。

王东梅介绍,在保障国家粮食安全方面,湖北研发的“稻功芯”系列芯片是中国首个水稻主效功能基因分子模块育种液相芯片,打破国外知识产权壁垒;选育的水稻新品种“E两优2300”,小面积超高产攻关田平均亩产超过900公斤。
