Federal beneficiaries can receive cash compensation instead of social services until October 1

Federal beneficiaries can receive monetary compensation instead of “in-kind” social services by submitting a corresponding application to the Social Fund of Russia before October 1, State Duma deputy Dmitry Svishchev (LDPR) told RIA Novosti.

As the parliamentarian recalled, the category of federal beneficiaries includes disabled people of all groups, disabled children, combat veterans, participants and disabled people of the Great Patriotic War, Chernobyl survivors, Heroes of the Soviet Union, Heroes of Russia, full holders of the Order of Glory, Heroes of Labor of Russia and so on.

“People come to my appointments who have not used free medicines and vouchers for years, but do not receive money for them either. They simply do not know that you can refuse a set of social services and take money. These are your legal funds, which the state is ready to return in a form convenient for you. Until the end of September, you have time to submit an application to the Social Fund of Russia (SFR). After October 1, it will be possible to change the decision only in a year,” said Svishchev, emphasizing that the application can be submitted through the Gosuslugi portal, in MFC or SFR client service.

According to him, in Russia, from February 1, 2026, the cost of a set of social services is indexed by 5.6% and amounts to 1,825.25 rubles per month, which is 21,903 rubles per year.

“The amount consists of three parts: provision of medicines and medical nutrition - 1,405.85 rubles, a voucher for sanatorium treatment - 217.48 rubles, free travel - 201.92 rubles. The beneficiary can completely or partially refuse a set of social services in favor of monetary compensation,” he added.

The deputy noted that the decision to refuse “in-kind” benefits must be confirmed annually.
