The cost of tickets to a number of museums in Turkey for foreigners will increase by an average of 10-12% from January and April 2027, in particular, a ticket to the Ephesus Museum will cost 45 euros, and to the Galata Tower in Istanbul - 35 euros, the Association of Tour Operators of Turkey told RIA Novosti.

The new prices are planned to be introduced on January 1 and, in a number of museums, on April 1.

The Ephesus Museum in the province of Denizli will remain the most expensive in Turkey - the ticket price will increase from the current 40 euros to 45 euros from April 1, 2027.

Foreigners coming to Istanbul will have to take into account the increased costs of museums. Thus, from April, a ticket for the Galata Tower will rise to 35 euros from the current 30, and for the Maiden Tower, which must be reached by ferry, to 30 euros from 27.

A ticket for visiting the ruins of the ancient city of Hierapolis in Pamukkale will also increase in price to 35 euros from April.

In the resort of Antalya, new prices will come into force in April; on average, visiting the ruins of ancient cities in the province will cost from 5 to 16 euros.

Several museums with free entry remain accessible to tourists. Tourists planning to visit several museums at once can purchase a Museumpass card, both valid throughout the country and in individual provinces.

Thus, from April, the Museumpass card, valid in more than 300 museums in Turkey, will rise in price to 185 euros from the current 165, and the card for Istanbul museums will rise to 120 euros from 105.

The authorities have not yet announced new prices for visiting palaces, museums and other objects subordinate to the Office of National Palaces - the prices set on January 1 are now in effect.
