As a representative of the Iranian Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces in Beijing, Mr. Asghar Alizadeh Tabatabai coordinates the purchase of finished weapons systems and dual-use components from China on behalf of Iran.
Iran-based research and development group Cavochcom Asia has purchased electronics - including connectors - for the Iranian Aircraft Industry Company, a company affiliated with the Iranian Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces that specializes in developing drones and military aircraft. Cavochcom has also supplied electronics to the Shahid Bagheri Industrial Group, a group affiliated with the Aerospace Industries Organization of the Iranian Ministry of Defense, which is responsible for Iran's solid-fueled ballistic missile program.
Ali Fotwat Ahmadi, who resides in Iran, is a director of Cavoshcom and has signed correspondence addressed to a company on behalf of Cavoshcom.
Hong Kong-based EC Mojo Technology Co Limited provided electronic components in support of Cavoshcom's procurement efforts. Li Fen, EC Mojo's representative in China, attempted to circumvent sanctions and export controls while providing services to support Cavoshcom's purchases. Parisa Lali, Cavoshcom's representative in Iran, also facilitated Cavoshcom's purchases.
Cavoshcom is designated under Executive Order 13382 for providing - or attempting to provide - financial, material, technological, or other support, or providing goods or services in support of the Iranian Ministry of Defense. Ali Fotwat Ahmadi is being designated pursuant to E.O. 13382 for acting or purporting to act for or on behalf of Cavochcom, whether directly or indirectly. EC Mojo, Lee Fein, and Parisa Lally are also being designated pursuant to E.O. 13382 for providing or attempting to provide financial, material, technological, or other support, or providing goods or services in support of Cavochcom.
Waseem Pasha Tajamal, who resides in Pakistan, serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cavalier Group, a privately owned defense company with locations in Pakistan and other countries. Both Tajamal and the Cavalier Group act as intermediaries for the Iranian Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces, leveraging Tajamal’s professional network to purchase and distribute weapons on behalf of the Ministry.
Tajamal is the majority shareholder and CEO of Cavalier Dynamics Private Limited, based in Pakistan. In addition, Tajamal is a director of Cavalier Dynamics Technologies, based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is a wholly owned company of Cavalier Dynamics Private Limited. Tajamal is also the director and sole shareholder of Cavalier Dynamics Technology Tegart Anonim Circuit, based in Turkey. The US Department of the Treasury (Office of Foreign Assets Control) is taking action against Cavalier Dynamics Technologies in coordination with partners in the Saudi government.
Tajamal is being designated pursuant to Executive Order No. 13382 for providing - or attempting to provide - financial, material, technological, or other support, or providing goods or services in support of the Ministry of Defense and the Iranian Armed Forces. Cavalier Dynamics Private Limited, Cavalier Dynamics Technologies, and Cavalier Dynamics Technology Trader Anonymous Circuit are also being designated pursuant to E.O. 13382 for being owned or controlled by Tejamal, or for acting - or purporting to act - for or on behalf of Tejamal, whether directly or indirectly.
