Two explosions occurred in Frankfurt am Main

Two explosive devices went off early in the morning on a shopping street in Frankfurt am Main. Bild writes about this with reference to the police.

Alarm calls began to arrive around 04:20 (at 5:20 Moscow time). One device detonated at a kiosk on Zeil Street, the second at a store in the Berger Strasse area. Information about the victims has not yet been provided.

Law enforcement agencies believe that the explosions are related to organized crime.

A few days ago, within 24 hours, three explosions had already occurred in the vicinity of Frankfurt - in Bockenheim, a cafe in Offenbach and a kiosk in Sachsenhausen. A 15-year-old Dutch citizen was detained on suspicion of involvement. The investigation is leaning towards the version of organized crime. It checks whether new incidents are related to previous ones.

On September 2, an unknown object exploded at the main railway station of Augsburg in Germany. As a result of the incident, two people suffered minor acoustic injuries, and the blast wave knocked out window panes in nearby buildings.

Later, another suspicious object was found on the territory of the Augsburg main station. Because of this, at about 8 a.m. the station building was completely blocked and train traffic was stopped. Police have not yet said what exactly the item was found and whether it is related to the earlier explosion.
