Yunlin Erlun Dongyuan Grain Industry introduced Swiss and Japanese equipment to create Taiwan’s first low-temperature bacterial reduction rice polishing technology

After two years of preparation, Yunlin Erlun Dongyuan Grain Industry Co., Ltd. received a subsidy of more than 50 million yuan from the Ministry of Agriculture and spent a total of 150 million yuan to introduce top-notch rice polishing equipment from Switzerland and Japan to manufacture the industry's first "full-process low-temperature bacteria-reducing rice polishing" technology in Taiwan. Li Shangqian pointed out that the rice mill originally occupied an area of nearly 1 hectare and had a total storage capacity of about 35,000 metric tons. Under the traditional manufacturing process, only the raw materials were often stored until the temperature reached 15 degrees. However, the processing process was exposed to normal or high temperatures, which could cause the rice to become fatty acid rancid and lose water, which could easily lead to flavor deterioration and bacterial growth. Therefore, two years ago, research was carried out in the hope of solving the pain points. With subsidies from the Ministry of Agriculture, cutting-edge equipment was introduced to solve the industry problem that was hoped to be broken.

Li Shangqian pointed out that the company spent 150 million yuan to purchase processing equipment from Switzerland and Japan to build the only rice polishing production line in Taiwan that can automatically correct and adjust rice milling parameters. It can accurately control the "whiteness" of rice according to customer needs. In addition, from the rice raw materials to the rice polishing factory, there is a full-environment air-conditioned room to ensure that the temperature is consistent throughout the line, so that its brand products can present the most accurate and perfect quality in any season and climate.

Li Shangqian said that the current factory production line can produce 100 metric tons per day, and with the addition of new equipment, the production capacity will be increased by another 100 metric tons. In addition, this rice milling technology has also passed the FSSC 22000 international food safety management system verification. It is the first rice milling company in Taiwan to receive the highest recognition of this global food safety initiative, comprehensively deepening Taiwan's agricultural science and technology capabilities.

Hu Zhongyi said that last year, Taiwan's rice cultivation was about 233,800 hectares, and Yunlin's was about 34,700 hectares. Erlun Township is also the core production area of ​​Yunlin rice. This time, Dongyuan invested 100 million yuan to introduce equipment to upgrade traditional mechanical processing to AI intelligence and set a demonstration benchmark for modern smart rice mills. It is also a historic moment for my country's rice industry. He hopes that cooperation between the private sector and the government will make Taiwan's agricultural development leap forward.

Liu Jianguo said that Dongyuan has received international verification and can be called the light of Taiwan and Yunlin. He affirmed that the introduction of Dongyuan's new equipment can not only increase agricultural output value, but also serve as a backing for rice farmers, bringing stable and generous income guarantee to contract farmers.
