The results of Traffic Safety Month are showing! 1.45 million people participated in the lottery with no violations of motorcycle regulations, and nearly one million units were inspected for health inspections.

The Highway Bureau of the Ministry of Transport launched the "Zero Traffic Violation Lottery for Frequent Motorcycle Users" and the "National Motorcycle Safety and Health Inspection" for the first time this year, and many motorcycle riders responded. As of September 13, the number of registrations for the lottery has exceeded 1.45 million, and according to the latest statistics from the police, the number of violations among registered knights has plummeted by 80% compared with the same period last year.

The Highway Bureau stated that in order to enhance the safety awareness of road users, it launched the "Zero Traffic Violation Lottery for Frequent Motorcycle Users" for the first time this year to encourage the public to abide by traffic rules starting from daily riding. Statistics show that as of September 13, as many as 1,455,597 people have completed registration.

Comparing the records filed by the police, it was found that the number of violations committed by the more than 1.45 million applicants in the same period last year was as high as 39,750, which dropped sharply to 8,076 in the same period this year, a significant decrease of 80%. If the observation of all drivers nationwide is expanded, the number of violations has also dropped from the original 850,000 to approximately 170,000, which is also an 80% decrease.

The safety of motorcycles is also a priority. The Highway Bureau pointed out that 7,435 motorcycle dealers across Taiwan have responded to join the "Motorcycle Safety Guard Station" and have connected seven major motorcycle manufacturers such as Kwang Yang, Sanyang, Taiwan Yamaha, Taiwan Honda, Tailing, Hongjiateng and Ruineng (Gogoro) to provide free vehicle safety inspections by front-line technicians.

According to statistics from the Highway Bureau, the total number of motorcycles in Taiwan that have completed health inspections has reached 990,627, and the number of vehicles that have been further repaired after health inspections is 575,822. The Highway Bureau pointed out that 64 publicity activities were planned during September Traffic Safety Month, and as of the 13th, 28 had been completed. Among them, the "Traffic Safety Music Festival" held in Taichung and Kaohsiung attracted more than 2,000 people to participate enthusiastically.
