Korean Community Center invites 56 people from 17 countries for career counseling and customized training through company visits

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Kang Seong-cheol = The Overseas Koreans Office (Director Kim Gyeong-hyeop) announced on the 15th that it will hold the '2026 Next-Generation Korean Homeland Invitation Training' where 56 young overseas Koreans from 17 countries around the world will explore their career paths and specify employment and start-up plans in Korea.

Starting with the opening ceremony held at the Central Park Hotel in Songdo, Incheon on the 14th, participants will be divided into 34 people in the employment class and 22 in the entrepreneurship class and participate in the program for 5 days and 4 nights.

During the training period, the training period begins with individual career counseling, conversations with senior compatriots who have settled in their home country, and visits to promising startups and the Seoul Economic Promotion Agency (SBA) to directly look into the domestic employment and entrepreneurship environment.

On the 18th, the last day, the 'Employment Class and Entrepreneurship Class Excellence Performance Presentation' will be held, where participants will present the employment and start-up plans they have developed during the training period and share their ideas with each other.

This training is not limited to program participation, but is also linked to employment and entrepreneurship support policies for young Koreans. The Office of Overseas Koreans plans to look at the policy questions raised by participants and the difficulties in the field and use them to improve related policies in the future.

Even after the training, we plan to continue exchanges and mentoring so that participants can interact with each other and receive necessary help.

Commissioner Kim Gyeong-hyeop said, "Young Koreans living abroad who return to their home countries are valuable assets that will make the Korean economy bigger. I hope this training will serve as an opportunity to confirm each person's potential and start a new challenge."
