When a nurse surnamed Li from a hospital in Yilan County was taking the blood pressure of a male patient surnamed Zeng, Zeng touched her chest. He later told her, "I'm going to hit you." The Yilan District Court concluded that Zeng Nan had committed the crime of sexual harassment and obstructing medical personnel from performing medical services. He was sentenced to 50 days in prison and four months in prison, and was fined a total of 170,000 yuan.

The victimized nurse surnamed Li posted an article on an online social group at the end of July, accusing a male patient of sexual harassment in the hospital ward. Later, the patient insulted her with vile words such as the Three Character Classic, complaining about the hospital's negative attitude. She resigned in February due to severe physical and mental injuries and could not bear the tremendous pressure. After the incident, the police accepted the report and transferred it to the court for violation of the Medical Law and the Sexual Harassment Prevention and Control Law. The prosecutor investigated and prosecuted the case and transferred it to the Yilan District Court for trial.

The verdict pointed out that the man surnamed Zeng was admitted to a hospital in Yilan County for treatment in late November last year. At noon on December 5, a nurse surnamed Li entered the ward to measure his blood pressure. When Li was unable to resist, he raised his right hand and touched Li's chest with the back of his hand. The sexual harassment succeeded.

Also at around 11 a.m. on December 7, Zeng Nan happened to meet a nurse surnamed Li in the corridor of the ward. He yelled at her, insulted her with the Three-Character Sutra and the Five-Character Sutra, and threatened her with words such as, "I will beat you," which made Li feel afraid.

Regarding the sexual harassment part, Zeng Nan denied touching the chest of the nurse surnamed Li. The trial judge considered the testimony of the hospital nurse and the ward nurse, and the fact that the nurse surnamed Li suffered severe insomnia and anxiety symptoms afterwards, and determined that Zeng Nan had committed sexual harassment. As for the intimidation part, Zeng Nan argued that at the time of the incident, he was cursing the Three Character Classic in the elevator opposite, not Li. The judge reviewed the monitor and the screen showed that Zeng Nan was insulting Li.

The judge reprimanded Zeng Nan, who denied the crime and still showed no remorse. He was sentenced to 50 days of detention for the crime of sexual harassment and a fine of NT$50,000 from Yike. He was also sentenced to four months in prison and fined NT$120,000 by Yike for obstructing medical personnel from performing medical services.
