The cross-regional movement of people on the first day of the Mid-Autumn Festival is expected to exceed 243 million, with multiple departments strengthening transport capacity to ensure travel

CCTV news: September 25 is the first day of the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday. The number of cross-regional people movements in society is expected to exceed 243 million, an increase of 6.4% from the previous day. The passenger flow of highways, railways, civil aviation and water transport has increased significantly, and the transportation department has increased transport capacity to ensure orderly travel of passengers.

On the first day of the holiday, railways across the country are expected to carry 22.34 million passengers and operate 1,218 additional trains. Night high-speed trains will continue to be added to popular lines such as Beijing-Shanghai, Beijing-Guangzhou, and Beijing-Harbin. From Jiangxi and Fujian provinces to popular directions such as Hunan, Hubei, Guangzhou and Shenzhen; and from Shenzhen to Changsha, Wuhan, Zhengzhou, Nanning, Guiyang, Xiamen, Fuzhou, Nanchang and other directions, additional trains will continue to operate. Some stations have adjusted their business hours to ensure that arriving and departing passengers can wait comfortably and be connected smoothly.

Dai Jia, the service team leader of the National Railway Shanghai Bureau Huzhou Station, said that the business hours have been adjusted forward, from the original 5:50 to 5:30. There is also a spare waiting room on the second floor for passengers and friends to rest at any time.

Highway travel is mainly short-distance self-driving. The Ministry of Transport uses the "road network research and judgment agent" and combines historical data to establish a static list of road sections where congestion may occur, and implement "one policy per section" and "one policy per point" to avoid large-scale congestion. On the first day of the holiday, the traffic flow out of Beijing on the Zhuozhou section of the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway increased significantly, with more than 360 traffic in the five-minute section. The command center relied on the smart traffic control platform to conduct 24-hour dynamic monitoring to ensure smooth traffic flow.

Liu Ming, captain of the Zhuozhou Brigade of the Hebei Expressway Traffic Police, said: "Our area has replaced and upgraded 220 high-definition surveillance channels. The Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao and Capital Ring Expressway video has achieved full coverage, and the efficiency of police situation handling has been greatly improved."

On the first day of the holiday, waterways across the country are expected to carry 750,000 passengers, a month-on-month increase of 15.4%. National civil aviation is expected to transport 2.06 million passengers. The air routes between the four major urban agglomerations of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, the Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and Chengdu and Chongqing are relatively busy.
