今年全球前3名城市名次與去年相同,前3名分別為紐約、倫敦及巴黎。這些傳統全球城市仍具有明顯優勢,他們擁有深厚的資本市場、龐大的人才資源以及成熟的制度基礎,因此依舊在全球城市競爭中維持領先地位。

第4至第10名依序為西雅圖、舊金山、都柏林、波士頓、聖荷西、東京以及瑞士蘇黎世。

亞洲部分,台北排名全球第48名,進入全球前50強。新加坡第29名;首爾第38名;吉隆坡第65名;大阪京都第83名;香港第87名;深圳第93名。

台北在生活品質方面表現尤其突出,獲得85.2分,全球排名第26名,同樣位居前5%;人力資本則獲得68.4分,排名第56名,經濟項目61.5分、排名第106名,兩者皆位於全球前20%。此外,治理表現獲得88.6分,排名第72名,同樣進入全球前20%。

相較之下,台北的環境項目獲得65.7分,全球排名第472名,與生活品質、治理等項目的排名相比明顯落後。

報告也特別強調,全球經濟版圖正在發生變化。隨著亞洲大型城市快速成長,亞洲在全球城市排名中的重要性持續增加,其中深圳、台北、吉隆坡及胡志明市都被列為具有明顯發展動能的城市。

報告認為,這種變化不只代表亞洲城市的經濟規模擴大,也反映全球經濟活動與城市影響力正在逐步向東移動。相較於過去由歐美大型城市主導的全球城市格局,亞洲新興城市正在扮演越來越重要的角色。
