When will 2026 KYK scholarship and loan applications start?

Millions of newly enrolled and continuing students experiencing university excitement across Turkey are eagerly awaiting the dates for KYK scholarship and loan applications. The official calendar for applications, which are submitted via e-Devlet every autumn, is announced once the YKS additional placement processes become clear. HAVE THE 2026-2027 KYK SCHOLARSHIP AND LOAN APPLICATION DATES BEEN ANNOUNCED?

The application dates for KYK scholarships and student loans for the 2026-2027 period have not yet been officially announced by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Considering the calendars of previous years, applications are expected to be announced between the end of October and the beginning of November, following the completion of university registrations and the progression of additional placement processes. Once the Ministry's announcement is made, applications will begin to be accepted through the e-Devlet portal.

HOW AND WHERE TO APPLY FOR KYK SCHOLARSHIPS?

When the application calendar is officially announced, candidates will be able to complete their transactions exclusively through the e-Devlet platform.

Students logging into the system with their T.C. ID number and password will fill out the application form using the Ministry of Youth and Sports' "Loan/Scholarship Application" service screen. During the application process, the economic, social, and educational information declared by the students will be verified against data from the relevant public institutions.

WHO CAN APPLY FOR KYK SCHOLARSHIPS AND LOANS?

According to the application criteria, which cover a wide range of students, the following groups can participate in the process:

Associate and undergraduate degree students,

Graduates of two-year vocational schools who enroll in an undergraduate program without a break via the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS),

Graduate (master's and doctoral) students,

Candidates placed in a higher education program for the first time based on ÖSYM exam results.

WILL THE 2026-2027 KYK SCHOLARSHIP AND LOAN AMOUNT INCREASE, AND HOW MUCH WILL IT BE?

KYK scholarship and loan fees increase every year. This year, the scholarship and loan amounts provided to university students will also be increased.

With the increase made in January 2026, the KYK scholarship and loan amount was set at 4,000 Turkish Liras for associate and undergraduate students.
