The Ministry of Education will introduce a specialized Unified State Exam for applicants to pedagogical universities in 2027

MOSCOW, September 24 - RIA Novosti. The introduction of a specialized Unified State Examination for applicants to pedagogical universities will allow them to attract more prepared applicants, which will ultimately improve the quality of school education, Alexey Lubkov, an expert from the Ministry of Education of Russia and the rector of the Moscow Pedagogical State University (MPGU), told RIA Novosti.

Earlier, the head of the Russian Ministry of Education, Sergei Kravtsov, told RIA Novosti that in 2027 the department will introduce the specialized Unified State Exam for applicants to pedagogical universities.

“We can absolutely say that this measure will contribute to the arrival of more prepared applicants to pedagogical universities, and therefore universities will be able to train more highly qualified specialists, which, in turn, will help improve the quality of school, preschool, and secondary vocational education,” Lubkov said.

He noted that the presence of specialized exams for admission to universities is a necessary condition for further work to deepen and expand the knowledge of applicants in the chosen field.
