Thunderstorms and wind gusts of up to 15 meters per second are also expected in the capital.

The department advised before the trip to check the operation of the windshield wipers and the level of washer fluid, not to use the phone while driving, observe the speed limit and keep a safe distance.

Drivers are also advised to slow down before pedestrian crossings and avoid parking near trees or rickety structures. During heavy rain, the Department of Transport was urged to stop in a safe place and wait for weather conditions to improve.
