The search for missing speleologists in Crimea continues

The search for amateur speleologists who disappeared in a cave in Crimea continues; the length of the route is about 10 kilometers, the press service of the main department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation reports.

“The work is being carried out from two areas, these are the Golubinaya cave and the Krasnaya cave. The rescuers moved towards each other. The total distance of the route is about 10 kilometers,” the press service told reporters.

In total, 40 people and 11 pieces of equipment were involved in the search and rescue operation.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that four tourists were stuck on the extreme route in the Red Cave due to rising water, and a rescue operation was being carried out.
