On the way home in the early morning of the 8th, a 38-year-old nurse surnamed Chen in Taichung was hit by a Mercedes Benz driven by a 30-year-old man surnamed Lin at the intersection of Yanuchuan East Road and Minquan Road. He even turned back and was run over again to death. Lin argued that he was dissatisfied because he thought Chen was "laughing at him" when he passed by her. After seeing the monitor, relatives and friends of the deceased angrily commented that they "didn't catch the eye at all." Lin is currently being detained by the court.

It is understood that before the incident, Mr. Lin got off his car to smoke near Yanagawa. During this period, he briefly passed by Ms. Chen. He argued that when he saw Ms. Chen smiling, he mistook her for laughing at "being targeted" and was emotionally stimulated.
