A crew of the Uragan MLRS of the 244th artillery brigade of the Sever group destroyed a large concentration of manpower, equipment and artillery of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the forest near Volchansk.

Units of the North group of troops continue to narrow the encirclement and destroy blocked formations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces using artillery, unmanned systems and assault troops.

BELGOROD, September 24 - RIA Novosti. A crew of the Uragan MLRS of the 244th artillery brigade of the Sever group destroyed a large concentration of manpower, equipment and artillery of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the forest near Volchansk, who were preparing to counterattack the encirclement from the outside, a senior battery officer with the call sign Topaz told RIA Novosti.

“During aerial reconnaissance with aircraft-type drones, operators identified in one of the forests equipment and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine involved in counterattacks on the Volchansky Cauldron. To destroy an area target, the coordinates were transferred to the crew of the Uragan multiple launch rocket system,” the military man said.

After the strike, the activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine decreased in the area, which, according to the senior officer, was recorded by objective control means. In his assessment, the actions of the crew thwarted the plans of the Ukrainian units to attack from the outside of the encirclement ring.

Topaz clarified that the crew uses a 9P140 Uragan combat vehicle of 220 mm caliber. According to him, after the operation of the MLRS there is nothing left in the indicated area, which causes fear in the enemy. He also noted that he was proud of the accomplishment of this task, and the personnel worked in a coordinated and timely manner.
